merry rocks

i spotted these rock sculptures about a month ago on my way to a friends house, when i drove there today i was happy and excited to see they've been topped off with a little holiday cheer. 

all the fire hydrants on that street were dolled up as well...

and my personal favorite...

i went to my cousins' 8th grade graduation today (congrats jazmin & angel!),jazmin said "stop taking pictures of other people's balloons, they're going to think you're stalking them!"

i had the wonderful opportunity to visit guatemala and belize for two weeks, unfortunately there's too many pictures to share all of them so i've gathered my favorite images here, enjoy!

took a day trip with my grandparents down to tijuana yesterday, and i figured out that the only thing cuter than little baby jesuses are kissing piñatas. ( is that even how you pluralize jesus??)

i went on a last-minute mini camping trip this weekend to joshua tree, these are the polaroids i shot there, i totally had an "american beauty" moment with the dead rabbit (not the plastic bag moment, but when the crazy kid films the dead bird moment), oh, the cacti in the last shot are called "jumping teddy bears", thought that was cute :)

my favorite thing about the korean market are the dumplings, the second: feeling like i'm in a foreign country, it's like a little fake vacation. oh, my third favorite: daikon radishes. (i have jo to thank for this, thanks!)

it had been a long time since i'd taken in a roll of film to be developed, i was so excited picking up the film today i forgot about those disappointing times when you pick up your roll and half the pictures are bunk :\

oh well, i'm still learning to use my diana, i managed to get 4 out of 16, maybe that's not so bad for the first time, or at least that's what i'm going to tell myself...

took a little trip this weekend up the california coast to san luis obispo, here are a few shots, top two are at montaña de oro state park in los osos, ca, and the bottom two i took while hiking up bishop's peak in san luis obispo, these will remind me to get out of l.a. more often...
