this is the piece i have up at the giant robot biennale group show, ever since i got back from guatemala earlier this year i wanted to make a dentist office inspired by the ones i saw there, i loved the paintings of teeth & gums outside the offices.

15 years of giant robot!

i'll have one tiny piece at a group show that's part of the giant robot biennale at the japanese american national museum, the opening is on the 24th, check it out....

i'll be displaying a temporary installation with the world's darkest gallery ( a traveling gallery mastermind by my lovely friends saejean, connie, and wendy) it'll be this thursday from 6-10 pm, we'll be on the beach on the south side of the santa monica pier, we'll have blankets for you to sit and relax and enjoy patti smith....

freshstART last night...

was definitely overwhelming and extremely fun, all at the same time, i got to meet lots of great people and unfortunately i didn't really get a chance to take pictures but i did take a few on friday when i was setting up...

while waiting for the shelves to dry between paint coats, i had a mini photoshoot on the floor,

the rest of the shots are the final installation....

fresh stART 2009- this saturday!

this saturday i will be showing new work at fresh stARt an amazing one night art sale to benefit therapeutic art programs for at-risk youth, there will be paintings, works on paper, photography, and sculpture.

50% of art sales go to Para los Niños & 50% to the artists.

this will be my first year attending and participating and it sounds super exciting! there are so many artists participating like, tanya aguiniga, souther salazar, martha rich, mark todd, esther pearl watson, megan whitmarsh, evah fan, seth drenner, saelee oh (who also designed the fresh start logo), and sooo many more, these are just a few names i recognized from the list.
