design sponge, is a blog i love and read daily, every year they hold a d.i.y. contest, and this year a reader named angie, submitted the jewelry cabinet below, (to read more about it, click here)
the cabinet was made using ikea's fira storage cabinets (pictured below)
so i was inspired to do my own version of angie's creation, i only used two fira cabinets instead of three and i added tapered furniture legs that i found at a hardware store. i used a walnut stain and finished it with a satin varnish.
and voila! now i have a neat place to store paper and place my keys on when i walk through the door!
